US rapper Fatman Scoop, 53, suffered a serious ‘medical emergency’ during a concert in Hamden.

Isaac Freeman aka Fatman Scoop, was performing at Hamden Town Centre Park when the incident occurred.

Emerging footage on social media shows Freeman struggling to climb onto a platform.

At 8:33pm authorities were sent to the scene and wheeled the rapper out from the venue on a stretcher.

His condition remains unknown, although concertgoers were heard asking if he was okay after witnessing him collapse.

The 00s music artist grew to prominence with his 2003 re-release of Be Faithful alongside artist Crooklyn Clan.

Fatman Scoop gained international fame with his 2003 hit Be Faithful.

Freeman revealed in a 2014 interview that he received his nickname from his Uncle Jack as he loved ice cream.

His 2005 feature in Missy Elliot’s Lose Control went on to win a Grammy for best short form music video and a nomination for best rap song.

The music video for his latest song with Dyce Payso, Let It Go, was released just hours before his Connecticut concert.
